If it wasn’t for Beyoncé, the 50 Shades of Grey trailer could EASILY be for a serial killer horror film. Creepiest thing I’ve seen in a long time.

This is exactly what I thought! Super creepy.

It drives me absolutely insane that Melissa McCarthy keeps getting cast in these awful roles (Bridesmaids, Identity Theft, Tammy). She is such a beautiful and talented actress, yet Hollywood insists on typecasting her as a horrible, crude, frizzy-haired weirdo. Sookie is one of my favorite characters on Gilmore Girls and Melissa is such a sweet, genuinely funny woman. I just can’t stand the thought that most people will only see her as that one character.

Anyway, that’s my rant for the day.

I agree that Melissa McCarthy is beautiful and amazing, and Sookie is also one of my favorite Gilmore Girls characters, but I think the point is that she can have merit as a fucking hilarious actor without having to be beautiful. She was so amazing in Bridesmaids. She was hilarious and disgusting and had so much charm. It is nice to see a woman that can be all those things without having to be classically beautiful.

THIS.

I have never thought about it in this context
that’s actually really, really creepy.

I… fuck.

Yeah, basically.

I once pointed this out to my mother and she just stared at me, in stunned silence for ages.

There will always be a girl who is less sober, less secure, with less friends walking in a darker part of town. I want her safe just as much as I want me safe.

That last comment literally made me cry. All women deserve to be safe.

A brilliant metaphor

6. Cycle lanes are built just for you, and then the cars drive in those too.

We’ve gotten to the point in the world when Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has dropped ‘The Rock’ from his name.
